What is Transpersonal Therapy?
Transpersonal means “trans” transcend beyond the person “personal”. This style of therapy using different modalities to work beyond the ego-self. It consists of working with 3 layers; the mind, body, and soul. This might look like hypnosis, yoga, meditation, dreamwork, art, music, astrology, and other techniques to explore all levels of our experience.
What type of Transpersonal Therapy do you specialize in?
I am certified in Hypnosis, EMDR, Yoga, and Gestalt Therapy. Though my sessions vary from client to client, my main philosophy is to bring awareness to and check-in with, our mind, body, and soul. We might use EMDR or Hypnosis to process our cognitive brain, Yoga to move it through our body, and Astrology to connect with our soul’s purpose.
What is Teletherapy?
Teletherapy is an option for therapeutic services that are done remotely. This therapy option is ideal for people who do not have access to a therapist for in-person sessions, a busy schedule, and transportation difficulties. Research shows that Teletherapy is just as effective as meeting your therapist in person. Teletherapy is not only flexible but convenient.
Teletherapy is not appropriate for all clients. An example of when this type of therapy would not be appropriate is if you are experiencing:
-active suicidal ideations
-unsafe home environment (experiencing domestic violence)
-active self-harming behavior.
Teletherapy is conducted on a HIPPA compliant video software. I recommend double checking your WIFI connection before session to ensure your time will be spent in session and not adjusting technology. If we do get discounnected it is not a big deal, we will simply reconnect and continue with our session.
Teletherapy is not much different than your in person therapy sessions. We will spend our first session connecting and exploring our goals together.
