Top 4 Travel Essential Oils

I am obsessed with essential oils. I have been using them for years to naturally heal my mind, body and spirit. I use my oils by either drops under the tongue, in veggie capsule, massaging and diffusing. I want to start by saying that I never travel without four specific oils, Lavender, Peppermint, OnGuard and DigestZen.

I will take OnGuard as a precaution or if I feel like I am starting to get sick. OnGuard contains wild orange peel, clove bud, cinnamon leaf, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus lead, and rosemary leaf. All of these oils combined provide a powerhouse of immune busters. I typically either use the beadlets or make my own veggie caps however sometimes I will make my own sanitizing mist to spray any dirty surfaces (like airplane trays.) I always get sick when I travel and will take this stuff everyday or double up the dose if I feel like I am starting to get sick.

I use DigestZenprobably the most because I always have stomach problems when traveling (jet lag, bowel habits, food and time change.) DigestZen contains anise seed, peppermint, ginger root, caraway seed, coriander seed, tarragon plant, and fennel seed essential oils. My one dislike about this product is I really dislike the taste of licorice and that is exactly what it tastes like. The taste it worth the healing properties because it helps with my nausea, bloating/gas and stomach pains. I have chronic IBS and will admit that it doesn’t fully help my symptoms but it does help me enough to so that they aren’t debilitating.

I often use Lavenderas a spiritual protector and will use it to shield my energy. Lavender comes from the latin phrase lavea which means “to wash” and I like to think of it as washing away any unwanted energy. Lavender is associated with the sixth chakra, the third eye improving your connection to spirit and source. It is good if you get overwhelmed in public places.

And last I use peppermintfor both stomach and physical pain. If I get a headache I will often use peppermint on my skin or take it internally. Peppermint has a powerful cooling agent and stimulates blood flood which works great for muscle contractions. Both the Peppermint and OnGuard come in small beadlet bottles perfect for traveling. Peppermint is associated with the third chakra, the solar plexus. The solar plexus in home to most of our digestive organs and represents personal power and self worth.
